What is your opinion about the Mosque being built in New York near ground zero?

I think there are a million better places better than Ground Zero. Actually, I don't understand why that mosque has to be built right at that location, with the history of that place. If there were to be built any religious building, it should be a joint building, which should be part Christian church, part Jewish, part Muslim Mosque, part nduist (and part other religions?) That way, the religions would really present a strong signal that they do NOT support the 9/11 attacks or anyone who commits any acts of violence in the name of God/JWH/Allah.

Yes they do have the right to practice religion where they want but maybe they should show some sort of compassion to the families of the dead and not build within two blocks of the trajedy. And they also name it after one of their greatest triumps and look to open on marked date. Maybe it is time for them to just show some respect even if it is just morally right.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
