" Even those who knew it was wrong, but still had slaves did not have the power of character to free them. One thing is for sure though, the US would have had allot larger population. Abraham Lincoln may also have lived longer and that raises even more questions.

Texas would have become an independent Republic again and we would have been spared George W. Bush. And we wouldn't have elected him President here either.

3 We would have lost World War II Darwin. Most people don't realize how vital the unity of the country was in WW II for the mining of resources in the west, metals used in all sorts of military hardware and munitions...With the country split into two, it would have been much weaker and not able to rescue the English from an eventual German invasion. Its also quite possible that the south would have allied with the German government.

We'd all be speaking German now and living in a fascist state...

4 There have been several books on this topic. However, the key would have been World War I. Had the Kaiser won, I don't expect Hitler would have had much power.

It was all the resentment of the war terms that brought him to power.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
