What products should I use on my hair for extra shine?

When I want lots of extra shine in my hair, I condition first (conditioning last can leave residue on your hair that makes it dull), wash with Lush's Ultimate Shine Shampoo, and then rinse with apple cider vinegar and TONS of COLD water. Cold water makes the scales on your hair close and lie flat. I learned these tricks through Lush's customer forum years ago and they beat anything else I've ever tried.

All today's hair products probably do a good job, but my mum told me to use a beer final rinse for body and shine. Or last rinse with small amount of vinegar, it won't smell, that is if you are brunette, if you are blonde use lemon juice. Cheap enough to give it a try!

You mentioned you have dry hair. Pantene has a great moisturizing shampoo and conditioner for dry hair.As for a more professional, salon quality brand I would recommended Rusk. They have a line called "Calm" and it is also great for dry hair.

Now you will need a great serum. I recommend Rusk Sea Kelp Serum for great shine. It also seals the hair wonderfully.

You can use this on dry or wet hair. I usually use it on my hair before I style, and then when I am done styling. You can get Rusk products at Amazon or even Ulta.

I have also bought Rusk on Ebay. Just be sure you are purchasing new if you decide to go the Ebay route.

Rather than putting products on your hair, you can try taking daily vitamins to improve your hair's health. They will also make your hair grow faster and stronger, protecting it from damage of constant styling. Some people like prenatal vitamins, because they really help with hair, skin, and nails.

Biotin and folic acid did wonders for me.
