Niccolo Da Conti was an explorer and a merchant. He traveled to India and Southeast Asia. He may have even made it to China.

S travels were so detailed that it was his information that led to the most correct and detailed maps of the old world. He was very knowledgeable about the spice islands and even about the cape of good hope at the tip of Africa leading him into the Atlantic ocean. He presented himself as Islamic so that he was safe while he traveled.
