If you don't have anyone's contact details, then party reminders may be your best best. Perhaps you could include your own contact details on the flyer and ask people to let you know whether or not they plan to attend. It may be deemed 'tacky' but you don't have much choice if there's no other way to get in touch, and you don't want to run the risk of no one turning up.
Often, paper invitations are looked at for 2 seconds, then put in a draw somewhere and forgot about.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
