What special capabilities do you think Mahalo brown and/or black belts should be given?

We are able to do just about everything already once we achieve Brown Belt status and I wonder what else would even be available to give us as far as capabilities or privileges. I do know that having the ability to change the title of a Mahalo page and create redirects without the aid of staff was good to have and would like to see that ability be given back to users at the higher belt levels. I had this ability until the latest incarnation of Mahalo Answers, right after the switch this privilege was removed.

We have a lot of leeway as to what we can do already. We can at any level post contests (AotD etc) and educational threads (I miss the scavenger hunts), the staff won't fund these but we can have them if the community would like to vote them up. We can add our own topic specific Mahalo IRC Chat rooms for discussing whatever we would like to cover.

We can even host our own Mahalo Tutorials if we are so inclined to do so with UStream etc, etc, etc. The only limit in the above mentioned is our imagination. The editing features we are given when we reach brown and black belts I think are top of the line save the page title editing and redirect capabilities. I don't think there is any more to give us in that area.

I know the staff has "liberate" and "assign to user" and "ban user" and the ability to vanish answers and comments in their administration capabilities but these would be far to powerful to just be awarded to any particular belt level. The chance of abuse of any of these above mentioned powers is just too great. I would like to see more Mahalo promotional swag items given out to users of every belt level.

These could be awarded to users for acts of everything that defines the helpfulness and true spirit of Mahalo. Badges of awesome statistical achievement would be nice too.

If based on activity now, then myself and others may be hosed. I know I haven't been as active here on MA since I've been concentrating on pages now and, I hate to say, the quality her eon MA has lowered quite a bit, discouraging me, and I'm sure others, from answering as many questions as we used to. I just finally got my BB, and I don't wish to lose it for something stupid.

If the upper-level belts are based solely on the stats attached to the Mahalo Answers Community, I'm hosed. Naive as I guess I am, I always supposed the overall contributions to things like the How To team, the QC team, the overall positive impact on the community, voting, stuff like that, were all taken into consideration. Of course if someone is niched in a particular area such as Answers, that should be judged on its sole merit.

I can't imagine that brown and black could be judged exclusively on answer stats, especially considering the staffers who make the advancement decisions! Seems like their feedback usually includes a reference or two to sterling contribution. Guess I missed something somewhere along the line.

Answer stats only? I'll be purple forever. S'Okay.

I like purple. Goes well with my flower and my python.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
