Logic The ability to think logically is missing from most young people and even adults today. Math is a form of logic, true, but it needs to be extended to the language and thought processes of logic. Knowing what presuppositions are, what opinions are, where data actually leads, what colors conclusions, to what extent one can generalize -- we might have a very different culture if logic were actually taught!(No, I'm not excluding emotions and similar, folks.
But we already have those in spades! ) .
Critical thinking, values clarification, distinguishing fact from opinion, and problem solving. (Sexy, huh? ) We need a lot more instruction in critical thinking, taught outside the box of any kind of ideology.
We are bombarded with persuasive messages that encourage us to make decisions based more on impulse than analysis. We are in desperate need of instruction and practice in problem solving, especially in the realm of governing. The adversarial approach to politics is too slow and destructive for today's problems.
The difficulties we face in this country are too big for one person (POTUS) and her small inner circle to solve. We need a brainstorming, collaborative approach. We can't do that without focusing on our common goals and practicing tolerance, patience, and forbearance.
Right now we seem to be on a governing treadmill. We’re running as fast as we can (and spending as much money as possible), but we’re not really moving forward. By "governing" I include voting and citizenship--"Government Are Us" in the last analysis.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
