What was the meaning of the word, CHARGES when identifying a family member in the 1940 cenus?

I cannot believe that this one is being asked again and again and again. If say your ancestor was English and was called Farmer because he was one, and someone from say France was also called the same thing in French they would not be related. If both of the descendants of these farmers came to the US and changed their names to on say Baker that would not make they related.

If you have other questions about it try typing the question in to search answers section. IT has been answered at least a hundred times this year alone, I would imagine.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
