I wouldn't take it personally. A lot of people just aren't comfortable around people they don't know, and it's not as if your friend can stick to your arm the entire time of your party as you'll be talking to other guests. Well, she can, but she'll just feel clingy and awkward and really uncomfortable.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
