What would you prepare for a home cooked breakfast/lunch/dinner to pair with your Sauternes/Barsac?

G'day Anonymous, Thank you for your question, I would have it with a poultry or seafood dish for dinner. Breakfast is way too early and I generally don't like wine at lunch. Regards.

Hope the suggestion will help you come up with a delicious meal. Enjoy. ...quote... Offer Roquefort or blue cheese with Sauternes.

These cheeses are complemented by the sweet flavors in this particular dessert wine. Pair with dishes like fish, ham or spicy sausage. Pair Sauternes with low-key or bitter desserts.

Serving a giant slice of rich cake or pie with a glass of sweet wine is overwhelming. Sauternes can be served alone for dessert, or with cheeses, light dessert salads, roasted nuts or a semi-sweet chocolate. ...end of quote... Also serve with seafood or roasted chicken and turkey.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
