What's difference between shortening, margarine, crisco and oil when baking or making pie crusts?

Crisco is shortening. Old-fashioned margarine is colored shortening, but most of the stuff you can buy in the US these days is full of water and not suitable for baking. Pie crusts made with oil require special recipes.

The very best pie crust is made with either all lard or half real butter and half lard. An all butter crust will not withstand the high temperatures required by some pies. More.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
