What's on your Ipod or other MP3 player that you would not want your friends to know about?

For example...I have a Zune, I have it about 2/3 full at this point which equates to something like 450 albums. I have some classics on there, like the entire Beatles catalogue. I've got entire discographies of a lot of metal bands from AC/DC to Anthrax to Megadeth to Black Sabbath (Ozzy years only).

I've got legends of alternative and punk like entire Nirvana and Bad Religion collections. Even funk/R&B...my pretty sizeable Prince collection is on there. I've got lesser known bands that rock my world and contemporary gods like the White Stripes.

I have blues, I have rap, I even have some country. From hardcore and grindcore metal to singer/songwriter influenced pop. I'm not "embarrassed" per se about anything, but let's say a friend was was big into hard rock were to look to me for suggestions and I was showing him my Zune, would I get razzed about having a Dixie Chicks album and *gasp* an entire Culture Club box set on there?

Can't believe I'm admitting to this, even in relative anonymity... "Lost in Love", by Air Supply is on my iPod. Please don’t tell anyone! I have a (fairly) good excuse for it being there. My husband and I were on a trip and were driving somewhere remote.

There was only one radio station that would come in halfway decently. I didn’t have any CDs in the car, because I usually play my iPod; problem was, I didn’t have my iTrip with me. *sigh* So, we’re driving along in this beautiful, remote area, and "Lost in Love" comes on.

We both laughed at the playlist for the station -- it was so bad! But then, as the song played on, we both started singing along. It turned into a terrifically romantic moment! So, when we got home, I downloaded "Lost in Love" to my iPod.

I don’t know that I’ve ever listened to it since, but whenever I see it on the playlist it makes me happy! Video Ahhh, romance...

I'm not embarrised about anything on my MP3 player... (almost). I've got really wide ranging tastes so one is likely to find darned near anything on my MP3 player at any given time. Currently the selections include: Lightning Hopkins Mance Lipscomb The Modern Jazz Quartet The Best of James Brown Midnite Lunch (A "punk" band I once played in in the 80's) L J Booth Robert Earl Keen Lester Flats and Earl Scruggs "Chant" (Gregorian Chants) Coyote Oldman Bach The only one I would be moderately embarrassed about is the Sound tack to Jesus Christ Superstar.

Not because the sound track doesn't have some excellent tunes, but why it is there. The whole scene when Pilot is officiating the flogging of Jesus has got an excellent bass line and just "works" for me in the gym. 1...2...3...4...5...6..................

Hmmmm, my friends, well I think they'd be quite proud of the fact that I've got Tism, silverchair, Nickelback, Queen, Spiderbait, Boston, Billy Idol, Def Leppard, Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Poison, Pink, and even Brian Ferry, Journey and Foreigner albums in my iPod. However, I've also got Chicago, The Bay City Rollers Greatest Abba and an audiobook by Ellen Degeneres, no way would my friends be letting me get away with having those on my iPod. I just went and had a look at my iPod library and, OMG, I've actually got Brittany Spears and the Spice Girls in there as well, I'd forgotten that!

I just know my friends would give me such a hard time about it. They wouldn't ever let me hear the end of it, I'm sure. The air would turn blue with their pithy comments.

I can't say that I wouldn't deserve it though, because I'd definitely do the same to them. I can be merciless, and so I can only expect the same from them right? How can I transfer songs from my mp3 player to my ipod.

Are there any advantages to getting an ipod rather than an mp3 player.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
