What's the best cheap birthday present you ever got and why?

Best cheap gift I would have to say the Best cheap gifts are also the Best---Anything my children or grandchildren make me themselves--I will have them forever.

Not sure if I should really answer this because even MORE people will realize my weirdness goes WAY back.. When I was a child, I got a game called "Park and Shop". It was a board game in which players were given so many cards with errands to do (stops around the board). One had to "drive" to a parking lot, do their shopping, return to their car and go home...or something to that effect.

The object was to organize their errands so that all could be completed in the shortest amount of moves in order to get back home and win the game. Of course there were also "stops" along the way that might throw you off your path. I remember that this was one of those games that I won a lot because I was such an organized child and I can still remember strategizing my plan to get everything done in the shortest amount of time.To this very day, when I have errands (especially a lot of varied stops to make), I formulate a PLAN in order to "Park and Shop" and get everything completed in the shortest time.

I associate my adult life to that childhood game all the time. If I forget to make a stop and have to retrace any steps, I feel that I have "lost the game". No doubt that type of game is no longer of interest to kids...and although I received this close to FIFTY years ago and have no recollection from where it came, it has left an indelible impression on me!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
