What's the coolest Halloween costume you've ever worn or seen on someone else?

I don't know if it was the coolest, but for me it is the most memorable; Whether it was because my dad grew up on a farm in northeastern Texas, and living so far outside of town, he and his brothers and sister didn't really have Halloween in the traditional trick or treat sense, or because he had a horrible sweet tooth, (my sister and I used to sleep with our trick or treat candy underneath our pillows to keep him from getting all of our "good stuff"), my dad really loved Halloween, and when we were kids, he used to make our costumes. Being an engineer and lacking much in the sewing department, he would sometimes come up with some pretty elaborate plans. In 1976, when I was nine years old, he had decided that I should be a Jack-in-the-Box for Halloween.

He spent weeks constructing my costume that year, and by the time he was done "engineering" my costume that year, I had a handle that turned, and when it was turned, it made that metallic music box like noise of an old fashioned Jack-in-the-Box. I had a lid, rigged with twine that I pulled from the inside so I could "pop" out of my box, and he had hand painted the outside to resemble an actual Jack-in-the-Box that had been mine. On Halloween, wearing a tie-dyed leotard and matching tights (it was the 70's and tie-dyed clothing was readily available) a color coordinated knit snow hat with a tassel from the previous winter, my ballet shoes, and red gloves, I stood rather impatiently while my mom used her make-up to paint my face like a doll's, complete with rosy red circle cheeks, and dad slipped my box over my head.

I won a prize that year at my elementary school's annual parade and contest for most original costume, and everyone who saw me loved my Jack-in-the-Box costume. One thing dad had not taken into consideration though was how much room I would need to maneuver for trick-or-treating.. My box and handle took up so much room that when my sister and friends and I would approach a house, I couldn't go with them to the door, I had to either go first, or I would have to wait until they were done, lest I knock them off of the porch.

My favorite costume (and coolest) was when I was 7. My mom dressed me as Pippi Longstocking. The best part was she put coat hanger wire in my braids and extended and twisted my long hair in true pippi style.

Well, I think this Angelica Prestige Adult Costume looks cool.

My favorite I have ever had was when I was 3 years old. It was a Simba costume and The Lion King had just come out and I got all decked out with face paint and everything. I still have the pictures.

The coolest Halloween costume Ive ever seen was the costume of a witch.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
