What's the difference between a high school writing class and a high school English class?

There is probably little difference between the two classes. It’s most likely that you are using the two titles interchangeably. Most high school English classes are based on writing done by the students. In elementary school, students learn the basics of reading, which is necessary for good writing and are introduced to the construction of meaning found in writing.

Then in middle school, students are grounded in grammar and applying those rules of writing in their own work. In high school, students apply all the other skills they have gained over the years by reading more advanced works by classic writers and they are expected to respond to those writers in their own writing with their own ideas. The students would do this in a writing class or an English class, no matter the title.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
