What's the most you've ever spent on gifts for your coworkers? Did you buy something for everyone, or just select?

I am giving each one of the people on my team a silver dollar when I return from vacation (yeah, I know Christmas was last week). The total amount is about $318 for 18 people. Have I gone overboard?

Or is this about right? Please play fair - no avatar names in answers. Asked by Schelli 36 months ago Similar questions: spent gifts coworkers buy select Society > Holidays.

Them's some mighty expensive silver dollars... I am guessing that they must be made-of-silver dollars, rather than just U.S. dollar coins. I've never had 18 to buy for, I think the most being 4 or 5, and spending about $15 per person. The rule of thumb I would advise is to try to have the per person cost be close to the value of gifts recieved.

If one person is habitually giving away serious swag, and others can't afford to respond in kind, that leaves them in an awkward position.

I've never bought gifts for co-workers. I've enough trouble finding gifts for people I know.

Goodbye! Said: 3 You should give your answerers more credit, Schelli. Just because you are incapable of voting fairly when you know identities, doesn't mean this is true of all Askvillers.

Mr_M_told_U_so replied to post #3: 4 Give him a break! I SALUTE Shelli's post about cheating and everyone KNOWS that's what it is. Some people just don't want to admit it publicly.

You really should be careful about pointing fingers at others for playing "unfairly" when you do the same.

5 That being said, Schelli, under $20 is what I would give. Perfect.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
