What's your favorite and least favorite Christmas song?

Gosh, I actually like Christmas carols....I used to love singing them at school because it was the only time everyone sounded happy! The worst one ( I guess because its very quiet and slow) is Away in a Manger - its nice but not my favorite at all... My favorite is Good King Wenceslas - when I was very little I thought it was Good King went last, which was polite you see, so it sort of made sense..... and its a rousing song, can be sung loudly and with gusto! Always make me feel like Christmas :)

My all-time least favorite without a doubt is Grandma Got Run over by a Reindeer youtube.com/watch?v=u9jmr0MgFKU and my favorite Christmas song is Ava Maria, as sung by Andrea Bocelli youtube.com/watch?v=YvdX5Ht3U9w.

Well, Bruce Springsteen singing "Santa Clause is Coming to Town" is great. (Maybe I'm biased because I'm from New Jersey? Or because I was a top-40 radio guy in the early 90s, when this HAD to be played or it just wasn't the holidays?) And without a doubt, I'd live if I never heard the popular version of "Feliz Navidad" again.

When saying old song, I think about a song that was put out before I was born. Something more my parents would have listened to when they were young. A song that I absolutely love from the 1960s is Harper Valley P.T.A.I really love these old country songs that tell a story.

I don't think many songs any more tell stories like this. I am actually not much at all of a modern day country music fan. I do like some of the old time country.

I love when Jeannie C. Riley sings "Well, this is just a little Payton Place And you're all Harper Valley hypocrites". Typical of small towns, I should know personally.

Anyways, I think it's a great song and I get a kick out of her mom sticking it to the Harper Valley P.T.A.

My favorite Old song is Heaven by Bryan Adams,This Whole Heart Been Of Mine, Michael Mc Donald I Keep Forgettin and we are the world by Michael Jackson and friends.

Billie Holliday- "Strange Fruit. " Damn, I am a bummer, but this song is so beautifully sung Runner up: Nancy Sinatra- "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down).

Once choice will always stick out. youtube.com/watch?v=O-v38lbPNZs I found it when I was trying to learn about dying fat Elvis. I think of him on his death bed when I hear this song, sad and happy at the same time.

I grew up with a lot of musicals around me so I have lots of old songs that I like. Well but these are my favorites. They are mostly love songs by popular music idols of the eighties.

Some of these songs are still played in reunions and old school parties; *Kool And The Gang – Cherish *Tina Turner - What's Love Got to Do With It *Cyndi Lauper - I Drove All Night *Mac Band - Roses Are Red * Roberta and Peabo - Tonight I Celebrate My Love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MG4TL3ZktyQ *Kool And The Gang – Celebration *Atlantic Starr - Secret *Whitney Houston - Saving All My Love For You *Stevie Wonder - I Just Called To Say I Love You *Lionel Richie - *Kool And The Gang – Get down on it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qchPLaiKocI.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
