What's your favorite book? Least favorite book?

Cassandra Clare The Percy Jackson Series-Loved this. Percy has always had some problems in school, add, dyslexia, but he never imagined it was all because of his greek heritage -Rick Riordan Also read the prequel to this book is the Lost Hero, with all of the same characters you know and love, just different main characters. The Clockwork Angel-Tessa thinks she is visiting England to see her brother, instead is imprisoned and saved by the mysterious and tortured Will-Cassandra Clare (Sort of a prequel to The City of Bones, you'll recognize some characters if you read both the books, but I recommend you start out with CIty of Bones) Pretty Little Liars-4 girls share a secret, but only their now dead friend knew them...or so they thought.

Will they be tortured for blackmail and live life in guilt forever? This is a great book, if you have seen the t. V series (made after the books) just remember that the books are way different from the series.

- Sara Shepard, also try her other book The Lying Game. (These books take place in the narration of high school girls. Not very inappropriate but I only recommend it if you are 12 or over.

Fallen-Has Luce met this boy before? Something about him is so...so familiar -Lauren Kate (Not the best read ever, but still worth a try) Shiver-Grace was saved by a wolf when she was very little and now her wolf has become reality-but the cold may keep their love from ever blossoming - Maggie Stiefvater (Some say this is like twilight, may be a bit cliche, but I enjoyed reading it. The Red Pyramid- Carter and Sadie Kane have been living separately since they were as young as they could remember.

But when they learn that they have the blood of the Pharaohs and have to save the world, things get a little crazy. And...are they hosting gods? -Rick Riordan.

I just finished the sequel to this book Throne of Fire, and loved it. I still think Percy Jackson and the Olympians was a better read, but you'll definitely get into this book. It was very well written and lots of sarcasm.

It will have you actually laughing out loud. Unearthly-this is a less popular but highly loved book. Unearthly follows Clara, a teenage angel, as she moves to Wyoming to find her Angelic purpose, rescuing a popular boy named Christian.

Clara's mother has and Wendy whose brother Tucker becomes very important in Clara's life. Cynthia Hand's writing style was descriptive but still to the point. Her descriptions of the wilderness around Jackson Hole was beautiful.

She also omitted slow, in-between scenes, so every scene felt important and added something to the story. This is not your average angel book and thankfully not another crappy one. At heroine is strong and focused, allowing nothing to get in her way.

-Cynthia Hand.

That's a VERY tough one! I would have to say my favorite book is technically a series. It is the Pretty Little Liars series by Sara Shepard.

I have enjoyed many others but those books really stand out as my favorites. I hope you give this series a try!

I'm not talking your favorite book because it makes you seem smart ('En Attendant Godot', by Beckett), I'm thinking classics that are also enjoyable. I'll take anything -- I'm in a literature slump! Thanks!

The World According to Garp" by John Irving. It is a novel with stories within stories, each character - even the least lovable is vividly as well as affectionately portrayed. You gain insight into the inner workings of each character's motivation.

Not to mention that some parts are funny as hell, yet there are those which will bring a tear to your eye. But it's all good in Garp's world there is inevitable balance.

ELLA ENCHANTED Ella Enchanted is the really awesome book by Gail Carson Levine. It's kind of like a remake of the Cinderella story and I've read it probably more than 100 times. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

You should definitely pick it up. Here are a few suggestions. Classics, right? Epic of Gilgamesh, The oldest complete written story known.

Deals with themes of jealously, rivalry, friendship, loss and regret. Also has plenty of sex and violence tossed in. Second Book of Samuel, Old Testament, Tells of the rise of King David and his near overthrow by his own son, Absolom.

The story ends with King David falling out of favor with the Lord and declining in stature and health. La Morte D’Arthur, Almost everyone has seen movies about King Arthur. But, you could be one of the few to have actually read the book. It’s splendid!

I read this to my daughter a few years ago and she cried when Arthur died. It’s very compelling. A General I’m not sure how to classify this.

Part history, but perhaps with some imagination tossed in. A very interesting read. The Lord of the Rings, I thought the movies were terrific and they did justice to the books.

But, as expansive as the movies were, many characters and subplots were left out. Read the whole trilogy to get them all. The Red Tent by Anita Diamant I never would have picked up this book, but a co-worker suggested it to me (this was about 5 or 6 years ago). It is in biblical times and the way that "that time of the month was treated" as well as another storyline. Without saying too much about it, I was absolutely transfixed. My husband and I were on our way to Savannah, GA to get away for a long weekend and I could not put it down, which was good because the president was flying into an area we were close to and they stopped all traffic.

We were on I-95 for well over an hour. I passed it onto a friend, she half-heartedly took it, but then was just as taken by it as I was. Another shocker was The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold.

Tragic story, beautifly told and shows there are just ending in life. Read it before the movie is made. I can't see how it will transfer to a movie well, it was a sad, but beautiful book.

The Lovely Bones, don't be put off by the subject matter.

Read the book and see how the story is told in such a beautiful way and just love the ending and know that Karma truly is a B sometimes! .

1 Well, I read this book recently and I was really taken by it:The Etruscan Smile (La Sonrisa Etruska) by Jose Luis Sampedro,An enchanting story about a connection developing between an Italian grandfather an his baby grandchild. It's one of those books that you just cannot stop reading until the end. If it's not a classic, it should be!

Let's talk Net Books ,not lap top's ,what's your favorite net book brand, screen size,OS and on,I just love my Acer.

This is weird hilarious, ever book you've listed I've read in the past year. I personally loved Fire by Kristin Cashore, I thought it was better than the first. I love fantasy that is set in a made up world instead of being incorporated into reality.

Here are some of my favorites: The Naming by Alison Croggon Mistwood by Leah Cypess Dragonfly by Julia Golding Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray The Sword of Truth Series by Terry Goodkind I recently finished Gone by Michael Grant and personally, I loved it. It's a great apocalyptic story about teen survival and I plowed right through it.

If you enjoy Gone then you'll also probably like: Unwind by Neal Shusterman Skinned by Robin Wasserman Silverfin by Charlie Higson The Merchant of Death by D.J. MacHale The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan Those are all the books I can think of. Hope this helps!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
