The clock is ticking... When the announcement was made about the new "Good Neighbor Policy", they said we had 30 days before consequences would really take effect: "In order to help the community become familiar with the rules, the Askville Moderator will give out warnings for most violations over the next 30 days. Only egregious violations will be given a strike. After 30 days the Askville Moderator will enforce the Good Neighbor Policy as is."

This was posted November 17, 2009 What the situation is: "Four strikes you’re out. Anyone who violates the Askville Good Neighbor Policy will either be given a warning or a strike. If you get four strikes in any 90 day period your account will be permanently disabled.' I still wouldn't be really alarmed, unless you are one of the really problem people here.

In the 3 years I've been here, they've been very inconsistent in consistent moderation of the site--but I could be wrong. Time will tell as to how hard they will really come down on us. They seem to have mellowed out a bit (our the Askville community has!

) and we haven't seen as much enforcement lately. Does that mean we are behaving better, or they are more lax on their rules enforcement, I wonder? So, anyway, officially the rules will go into effect December 20, from what the blog tells us.

One other thing I noticed--they have posted a blog every month for the last three months, which is a good thing! Communication is very important to us! Sources: http://askville.typepad.com/askville_blog/2009/11/index.html .

As far as I know, those rules are already in effect. And I've been told that since humans are programmed to think in threes (funny, that), we get three strikes and then are out (or offline for a while. ) .

1 They are already in effect--and the Team has not given us any information as to the punishment for having too many warnings. This user has been banned from Askville.

" "When I joined Askville I tried to use a nickname and was told I couldn't do so. Yet I see that someone has said they" "So, what do you all do when you are here on Askville? " "Why askville?

" "If a doctor told you that Askville was bad for you, would you stop?" "Why should I use Askville?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
