When I drive my car it smells like something is burning. Smells like when you blow a candle out. What may that be?

Its not a non stop smell. It will start about 5 minutes or so after starting the car and go away and them come back after a while. We noticed a little bit of steam coming off the hood as well but it was a little chilly out so we weren't sure if that played a role in the steam?

You have to track it down. Leave the car running and look under the hood, or look under the card, or see if the smell is coming out of your air conditioner/heating ducts. At this point, it could be anything.
