When will that very needy four-way stop intersection get the much-needed traffic light?

From Rebecca of Fort Wayne A. Thanks for sharing your concerns, Rebecca, and I am pleased to say there is some progress to report for this area. David Ross, city engineer, said the intersection of Arlington Parkway and St. Joe Center met the traffic requirements for a signal a few years ago.

No additional right of way was needed to construct the signal because turn lanes were already in place, making it an easier and cheaper project to complete. In 2006, City Councilman Tom Smith, R-1st, spent part of his income tax allocation to pay for the project, which cost less than $70,000. According to Ross, the improvements have helped traffic flow at Arlington.

As far as St. Joe Center and Wheelock, there are plans to improve that intersection as well, but it will be far more expensive. The city annexed the area in 2005, and a traffic study done that fall showed that the intersection met several of the requirements for a signal. The county recently completed a nearby bridge project, however, ... more.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
