Where are vacancies advertised?

The TES website (www.tesjobs.co.uk) is a good place to start, especially if you're looking for work in an area you don't live in at the moment. Other recruitment agencies include eteach and Select. It is also worth checking the websites of the Local Education Authorities where you want to teach.

Almost all of them advertise vacancies on their websites, and many will be listed there but not on TES (because it's cheaper)The NUT prints a list of all the authorities, including their websites, where appropriate. You can download the booklet here. More.
