Ford put out an internal circular indicating they had a badly designed radiator for their 1999-2000 year model superduty diesel pickup trucks that caused the transmission to overheat and burn out the torque converter. They knew about this but didn't inform the consumer so they could get replacement parts before they (like us) incurred a very pricey repair service. You could file a complaint with the FTC, Here is the FTC (Federal Trade Commission's) complaint form-ftc.gov/ftc/cmplanding.shtmAlso, the Dept. Of TransportationUse this https://cpsc.gov/cgibin/incident.aspxonline Vehicle Owner's Questionnaire to report safety or operational defects to the National ghway Transportation Safety Administration. You can also call the DOT Auto Safety Hotline at 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236) or 1-800-424-9393 and a NHTSA representative will record your report.
Search for existing defect reportshttp://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/complain/And consider the Better Business Bureau-http://complaints.bbb.org/And the Center for Auto Safetyhttp://www.autosafety.org/article.php?did=539&scid=98has some great information. Ford does have the following options available-Contact Ford: Call Ford's Customer Assistance Center at 800-392-3673 to register a complaint. If they cannot resolve your complaint, ask for an arbitration package for the Dispute Settlement Board (see below).
Dispute Settlement Board: This is Ford's arbitration program for reimbursement of repairs or buyback of a lemon. If you get a bad decision, you can reject it and take Ford to court. If you accept it, Ford must abide.
Both the consumer and Ford submit comments and records to the board by mail. In most cases, the board will not hear a complaint outside the express warranty - the length of which varies for the powertrain, emissions & other components. Important: The consumer is allowed to rebutt Ford's comments.
This can improve your chances and you should take advantage. If you have not received a Dispute Settlement Board arbitration package from Ford Customer Assistance Center, write to Dispute Settlement Board, PO Box 5120, Southfield MI 48086-5120. Good Luck to you!

1 jennmaine, regarding your answer "You could file a complaint with the FTC, ":Thank you for your very informative response. I think I will file with the FTC. I had already filled out an online complaint form with the BBB.
They're sending me a packet in the mail, and I'm also planning on filing the complaint with the State of California Attorney General's office, because the car was purchased in California.

3 I am on the phone to the complaint dept. As I type! I bought a brand new 2008 King Ranch 450!
I have had it about 6 months. In July it needed TWO FUEL INJECTORS replaced. And then In September the RADIATOR was leaking and needed to be replaced.
I swore I would never buy another Ford but I gave them another chance 4 yrs later. I am filing a complaint. Anyone else out there with the same problem? Thanks.

4 Lauralee. You should avail yourself of the BBB's Auto Line complaint system which is tied to the states' lemon laws for automobiles. You can go to the Better Business Bureau's website, fill out an online form, and they will send you a packet of forms in the mail for filing a complaint consistent with the lemon laws, which your vehicle clearly fits under.
Good luck! Vacpacker .

Where do I fie a complaint with ford motor company about a dealer re-nigging on a warranty.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
