There are numerous great resources for gardening tips. If you are interested in online resources, some sites to consider include the National Gardening Association at garden.org/ and my favorite, GardenWeb at gardenweb.com/. GardenWeb has some awesome forums where you can ask just about anything, by region or plant type and get answers from fellow gardening enthusiasts.
Another popular site is Dave's Garden at davesgarden.com/community/ . They require a membership, but many people are active members and enjoy the site. Mother Earth News (motherearthnews.com/Organic-Gardening/19...) provides a wealth of information for both beginner and expert alike.
The Daily Green provides some great beginning information for vegetable gardening as well. While not an online site, your local library can provide some of the best information available for gardening. Don't overlook the magazines, such as Organic Gardening and Sunset!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
