Where can one go to learn Native American languages? Camps, schools? Anything in/near Baton Rouge, Louisiana?

There are lots of Native American languages, in fact lots of language families. My niece has been able to study one at her college and has learned more by visiting distant relatives on a reservation. Neither the college nor the tribe is near Louisiana.

Here is a good online link, the organization deals with Native American languages in general, this page is about Choctaw. Although Choctaw is one of the main tribes from this area, it seems to be centered in Oklahoma now. native-languages.org/choctaw.htm#language They seem more active with language education online than most, and apparently have a number of programs at Oklahoma high schools and colleges.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
