Depends on riding experience. But I can offer a great book that leads to trails for every level of rider. Get a copy of "Kissing the Trail" by John Zilly Kissing the Trail: Greater Seattle Mountain Bike Adventures .

Burke Gilman Trail The Burke Gilman trail starts at the Fred Meyer in Ballard, winds its way along the Ship Canal and Lake Washington and ends in Kenmore. It's almost all off road and a great way to see the city on a bike. It goes right through the hear of Fremont and the U-District.

The views are incredible along Lake Washington. Sources: http://www.cityofseattle.net/parks/BurkeGilman/bgtrail.htm .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
