Where is the river walk located in San Antonio?

The San Antonio River Walk is located in downtown San Antonio. It is an outdoor shopping mall directly on the water. At night it is considered fairly romantic as the trees are decorated with twinkling lights and there are many upscale dining options along the water.

The River Walk is quite close to the Alamo and the giant IMAX theater next to the historical monument. You can choose to head up there after a stroll along the water's edge and catch a movie. There are nightly IMAX shows of current releases and sometimes they even re-release classic movies you might want to see on the big screen.

There are additional screens at the theater so you can see a normal sized movie as well. All in all, it makes a very nice date and the shopping area also has lesser expensive dining options as well depending on your budgetary limitations.
