I've seen both and I think the older fans that grew up with DBZ from the 90's with fillers and all are more loyal to the original airing. Personally, I liked some of the fillers like how Gohan got his name. It could also be the voice acting as well.
Some fans have complained about Gohan's voice and several others being more irritating then the original airing and vise-versa. A lot of fans saw the censored Kai version and hated the censoring so much that they refuse to watch KAi, depite the lack of fillers and loyalty to the sequence of the manga (e.g. No Buu Saga). But this is Toriyama's fault for being inconsistent and creating plot holes in both versions and he has taken responsibility for it.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
