Which "face" do we show the world, ourselves and our friends/family etc why?

I know I'm not. I don't care what he was into. I don't care who he banged, if anyone at all... I find it FAR more interesting just what I might take away from that story, of his life, sacrifice, death and resurrection, at a spiritual and symbolic level!

While still eschewing bigoted, restrictive dogma, and Biblical literalist interpretations, of course... As for this young man, though: he might, perhaps, have been sleeping..? People often sleep in the nude, or in their underwear. And if he DID share a special moment with Jesus, who's to say it must have been a sexual thing? Of course that COULD have been a part of it.

But it just as easily might have been emotionally intimate, or spiritually intimate, without being the slightest bit sexual. They might have physically hugged and caressed each other, at a very deeply loving, platonic level, without it having to turn sexual in any way! Been there, done that, and I know how it is.. Why does EVERYTHING have to be sexualized these days?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
