Which is better for your diet & nutrition, butter or margarine? Which brand is best for taste & nutrition?

Butter has more fat, but has carbs that are good for you. Margarine has lower fat. If you get 'fat free', it is tasteless.

I would like to have both. Good nutrition, and good taste. Any suggestions?

Butter wins hands down for both health and taste margarine is loaded with hydrogenated oils and most health nuts and nutritionists avoid this like the plague... obviously, taste is subjective but in my experience, and I cook almost every night, the taste of butter is superior in all types of cooking from breakfast foods, to dessert, to dinner..... but its still a free country......if you prefer margarine, enjoy it...... it has its moments too.....

Butter has protein and vitamins, margarine has some but the killer is the trans fats in margarine, vs the saturated fat in the butter. Go with butter, it tastes better! Just use less of it.

Though I think whipped butter is a rip off-all that air! Just buy the real thing and use slivers of it. One bit of the real thing is better than a pound of fake stuff, in my opinion!

Also depends on the use-baking, broiling etc. Nothing like butter! But it can burn in the pan if you are not careful. Good luck and enjoy!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
