There isn't a specific receiver you need. The famous (or infamous) Bose 901s have a equalizer unit (to correct the uneven frequency response in the speakers) that needs to go between a preamplifier and an amplifier. A few decades ago, those two components would be in separate boxes.

The preamp would have input switches so you can choose whether to listen to the radio or a CD. It would also have a volume control. The preamp would pass the signal on to the amplifier, which then boosts it so that speakers can convert it into sound.

You can still buy separate preamps and amps (that is the setup I have) but they tend to be pricey audiophile units. Relatively cheap units come from Adcom, Rotel, possibly Onkyo and maybe Marantz. If you have that setup, then it is simple.

Just connect the preamp to the Bose equalizer, then the equalizer to the amp. But a much more common setup today uses receivers. A receiver combines a preamp with an amp, plus a radio tuner, all in one unit.

(Without the tuner, it would be called an "integrated amp. ") So that would seem to make it difficult to insert the Bose equalizer between the preamp and the amp, since both of those are in the same box. But some nicer receivers let you take the signal after it has gone through the preamp section, modify it somehow (say with that equalizer), then send it back into the receiver to be amplified.

Those ports are called either "tape monitor" (because they were designed to let you listen to a recoror "preamp outs" So any reciever with "preamp outs" or "tape monitor" connections should work. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
