Which islands do not belong to the British Isles?

Great Britain includes mainland Britain ( England, Wales and Scotland ) the Hebrides, Orkney, Shetland, the Isle of Wight, the Scillies and a few other fairly insignificant islands It does not include Ireland the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands (Part of Ireland is included in the United Kingdom but the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands are technically outside the UK, and outside the EU. ) Nevertheless the expression British Isles is a bit vaguer, with no precise definition It may be used to mean Great Britain, or the UK, or Great Britain and Ireland. It may include or exclude the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands There are, of course, many other islands which do not belong to the British Isles such as Corsica, Borneo, the Falklands, Cuba, Japan, Baffin Island, Sardinia, Capri, New Zealand, Sicily, Elba, the Azores, Madeira, the Balearic Islands ... and all of Indonesia and the Philipines!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
