I can only listed on which Royal Rumble PPV I have watched. The first one is 1997 so I will start from there. My favorite Royal Rumble matches: Royal Rumble 1997 Royal Rumble 1999 Royal Rumble 2000 Royal Rumble 2001 Royal Rumble 2002 Royal Rumble 2003 Royal Rumble 2004 Royal Rumble 2005 Royal Rumble 2006 Royal Rumble 2007 Royal Rumble 2008 Royal Rumble 2009 Royal Rumble 2011 My favorite Non-Royal Rumble matches: Royal Rumble 2000 Royal Rumble 2001 Royal Rumble 2002 Royal Rumble 2004 Royal Rumble 2006 Royal Rumble 2007 Royal Rumble 2009.
Royal Rumble 2000 is was and always will be my favourite, because it's the first I ever saw, the first match I ever watched on tape was Tazz V Kurt Angle at Royal Rumble 2000. Non-Royal Rumble match would be Cactus Jack V Triple H from 2000, I dare you to show that match to any 9 old and not pique their interest. 2001 actual Royal Rumble match may be my favourite, 2003 was also good, but from then on it's been more about moments than the match.
Like Rey winning 'in honour' of Eddie, Morrison landing on the barricade, Kofi walking on his hands, Punk doing a promo in between entrants, The New Nexus running the event, it's rare that the whole thing is any good. The winner of the Rumble is always between about three different guys from the start, one of them is a former champ and can be trusted in the top spot(Taker, Randy Orton), the other is a rising star (Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus) and the third is a guy who makes their return (Edge, Cena). Just watch Raw and they'll make it obvious who the winner will be, it's always obvious, either he'll be destructive (Brock Lesnar), he'll have everyone against him or an authority figure against him(Chris Benoit, Stone Cold) or he'll get the pity vote (Rey Mysterio).
Christian and Mark Henry are both out on injury (among a bunch of mid-low carders) Your dominance is the Shield IF they are entrants, this year you have a second dominant figure in Ryback. John Cena (who is also a trusted former champ) has Vickie against him and if he wants that match with Rock and Rock is the guy to beat Punk then how else will he get there? Watch Raw leading up to the show and it'll be clearer who your front runners are, it will be one of them (or a guy who returns at the event).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
