I'm currently undertaking a PhD in the reuse and recycle of materials from waste streams which, has been focusing on waste water treatment. I have been working on a system that allows the simultaneous destruction of organics and recovery of metals. Successful work has just been completed on a Cobolt and EDTA combination.
I would now like to look at solutions containing Cadmium plus an organic, or Lead plus an organic. The research that I have carried out so far on the organic chemicals used in the metal plating industry (e.g. Brigheners) has just given me patented organic chemicals. Could anyone tell me which organic chemicals are commonly used in combination with either Cadmium or Lead?
Plus it would be useful to know if there was a specific metal+organic combination that is a treatment/environmental problem in metal finishing. Any help would be appreciated. More.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
