Yep. Here's why: 1: There is no evidence to suggest the existence of any deity. 2: There are perfectly good scientific explanations (supported by solid evidence) for phenomena once attributed to the actions of a deity (eg the birth of the universe, planet building, weather, the rise of life).
A supernatural “explanation” is no longer needed for us to understand what we see around us. 3: There are over 3000 recorded deities. This abundance alone suggests that deities are myths.
If a deity exists, why would people invent others? Similarly, the abundance of existing religions suggest that none are true; if there is a true religion, surely there would be consensus. 4.
Complete lack of consensus within religions (eg 35000 Christian denominations; Islamic sects at war with each other). Division within a religion really makes no sense if the religion (and its associated deity) is true. 5: Because of 1 through 4, I see no reason to assume a deity exists.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
