Who disgraces the Pledge of Allegiance more the people or the government?

This is an interesting question. In fact, the pledge of allegiance did not originally contain the words "under God" until 1954, during the height of the Red Scare. The great irony is, as a representative government, it is both the people and the government that tend to break promises.

The people should be wise enough to watch their government, and the government should be honest enough to stick to the law. The lack of a wise people leads to a government that is fundamentally flawed. Of course, there is always the saying "Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others that have been tried.

Me! I don't even know the dang song, and frankly, could hardly care, my favorite group is Depeche Mode, and my favorite female artist is Bjork, so I find it very hard to even think of a song as lousy as the Pledge 0f Allegiance, that doesn't even have single drum beat in the entire song. Besides, thats one of those patriotic songs to brain wash us into making us think we owe the government for that stinky label they give us, called "Amerikans".

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
