Who is Miguel Sugar Santos?

Miguel "Sugar" Santos is the main character in the movie "Sugar" about a Dominican baseball player who wants to play in the U.S. Minor-leagues for a fictional team called Kansas City Knights. According to MLB. Com, Sugar follows "Santos' career from the makeshift fields of his nativecountry to Spring Training in Arizona to a small fictional town in Iowa where he plays Single-A ball to New York City, where the one-time future prospect must adjust to a more realistic end result of his diamond dreams."
