Though I love George Clooney, his movie was a complete joke. Subtle humor is his thing, not painful introspection and sacrifice. He's better off doing Ocean's Eleven-type movies.
Michael Keaton I think got the general gist of what character he was supposed to play. He was able to be dark, yet charming, and basically looked the part. Val Kilmer I think did as good of a job as Michael Keaton, but I've always known him from Top Gun, so I never was able to take him seriously in the Batman movies.
I mean, how can this idiot be Batman:
Christian Bale was all dark. The movies were dark, and so was he. They were gloriously well-done, but his "Batman voice" bothered me.It was a little over the top, too low and raspy. It was actually really distracting, I felt like he went from a believable man to a caricatured cartoon as soon as he started talking. But his emotions were otherwise beautifully portrayed in their subtlety, and he really seemed to grasp the psychology behind Batman. In otherwords, I vote for Christian Bale, hands down.
.I know you are asking about the newer movies but I actually prefer Adam West in the original TV shows. He and Catwoman were pretty steamy for that time. Robin was well, Robin.....
Christian Bale, without a doubt. I love Tim Burton but his version of Batman was not nearly dark encough. Bale is exactly what the Batman franchise needed a dark hero, with a lot of inner angst.
The bat shouldn't be a pretty boy and George Clooney can't act his way out of a paper bag, so Bale all the way. It helps that the story around him is better as well.
Ultimately, I think they were all good choices for when the movie came out - meaning, every actor was relevant for that release year. But, in the end, I think Bale rocks that character just right. Keaton, Clooney and Kilmer could all pull off the 'rich, smirky guy' role of Batman, but I think Bale really rocks the "extreme bad*ss" role that was missing from every previous Batman flick.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
