Sherlock will win over Hercule They are both brilliant in their own ways. The idiocyncracies of their personalities are so different. Hercule certainly doesn’t work his "little grey cells" nearly as hard as Sherlock does.

Clues and ideas seem to flow easily into his brain. But Sherlock’s mind has more depth and persistance. They are both extremely entertaining..

Why, Hercule Poirot, of course....."the little grey cells" tell me that Monsieur Holmes would have fallen victim to his horrible opium habit eventually...

Oh, Sherlock, clearly. He is just so cerebral and observant. He can solve mysteries without even visiting the scene of the crime.

Poirot is pretty good (for a Belgian), but not in the same league at all. Look how long it took him to solve the Murder on the Orient Express -- a whole novel! Holmes would have done it in a short story..

Both have their strong points Gosh, that's a tough one. I love them both & watch them every time I can find them on the Bio channel or A & E. I like Jeremy Brett the best for Sherlock.

I just love it when he puts on a disguise to go under cover. The one where he gets "killed" going off the falls & comes back. Watson doesn't even recogize him.

I've seen that one several times, & I have to admit, it makes me tear up when Mrs. Hudson sees him & falls into his arms. That's my favorite episode. David Suchet is my favorite Poirot.

He's so prim & proper, but his mind is going 100 miles an hour. I think those stories are a little harder to follow. You really have to sit down & watch & listen to every word.

I love the interaction he has between his friend & the police inspector. They are both great British classics. Sources: my opinion .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
