No, and it's for that reason that I refuse to vote "straight ticket". I look at what I know about the candidates and try to weigh what I believe are their values and qualifications with what I believe would be best for the position available. It's just coincidence that those candidates have all happened to be Republican over the last 35 years.

No. I vote for whomever I think will do the most good while in office. I tend to vote for third party candidates a lot.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
