Why are all female adult costumes slutty? I wanna be a fairy or a princess or a cartoon character WITHOUT flashing my trash?

Look in charity shops and sales, then put together your own costume. I have no idea what makes companies think that every woman wants to look like a femme fatale or a fallen woman, but they need to look again. Addressing the costumes you mentioned, in particular, charity/second-hand shops are a treasure trove when it comes to creating costumes.

I've used them time and again over the years, creating costumes for my kids, everything from stage costumes to birthday and Halloween parties. Fairy costumes are easy. Either find a floaty, sparkly, light dress and doll it up with ribbons and glitter, before adding wings made from tulle stretched over a pair of wire coathangers, tied together with the hooks of the hangers, and strips of elastic to hook over your arms/shoulders.

Add an alice band covered in pretty, sparkly material and you are done. Or, buy off-cuts of fabric in shiny, floaty, sparkly colours, from a retail outlet and velcro them over an old skirt to create a fairy shirt. Sew or wrap more of the same over a t-shirt and create a cape/wings the same way.

Princesses can be created the same way. Buying second hand bridesmaid dresses is a great way to get 'princess' dresses. You can then decorate it yourself and buy a crown from a shop or make one from an alice band/cardboard and a bit of creativity with shiny foil and fake gems.

Cartoon characters totally depend on who you want to be. Look your characters up in magazines or books, or on the internet and hunt round to put together the necessary components. There are dedicated forums for most popular cartoon characters and people who dress up like them regularly.

These are great places to pick up costume hints and tips. No matter which way you do it, doing it yourself is always going to be cheaper than buying a made costume. It is also more individual and means that you can adapt it to suit yourself exactly. No more nasty nursie, say hello poised princess!

Finally, someone with good sense. Trash sells, especially to teenage girls trying to look sexy. It's nice that you realize you don't have to give it all away.

Consider making your own costume. This is great because you can customize and personalize cheaply and efficiently. Visit a local Goodwill or thrift shop and you should be able to find all sorts of things for grabs to make it yourself.

Then, just purchase the wand, tiara, and other accessories separate. Hope this helps.

I am sure that among San Francisco's famous charitable organization, The Sisters of Perpetual Indulence there is a "Sister" into latex...probably more than one. My fave "Sisters"? Sister Dana Van Iniquity, Sister Barbi Mitzvah, and Sister Adora Penthouse-View The Order of Perpetual Indulence is actually an international charitable fundraising organization of mostly gay men and some women around the world who liven up every street fair and special event they attend with their merrymaking...and support for good causes such as fighting AIDS and advocating for both safer sex and harm reduction.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
