Why are Canadian cops better than American cops?

There are a hundred reasons why violent crime rates are much lower in Canada -- almost all of which the police have little or no control over. A) National criminal code. B) Almost no illegal immigration.

Legal immigration comes from countries with extremely low violent crime rates (primarily China and India). C) Social safety net -- more income assistance, health care, etc. d) Education systems. Canada ranks in the top 3, the US is barely in the top 20.

Canadians have access to low-cost post secondary education, loans, tax deductions, etc. and have the highest post secondary education rates. E) Massively ahead on the US on nearly all social indicators -- half the hard-core drug usage, half the abortion rates, half the teen pregnancy rates, higher literacy rates, etc., etc. f) National police force representing half the police in the country, plus a limited number of other police forces. Centralized control, record keeping, national alert and databases, etc. Limited number of secondary law enforcement officials.

US has the FEA, FBI, Secret Service, thousands of city, states, and county police forces, etc., etc. g) Much more centralized social, taxation, and banking systems. With only ten provinces, five major banks, government run hospitals/insurance systems, etc. police have much easier time tracking people down. H) Less firearms and more importantly far less handguns and weapons typically used in violent crimes.

I) More focus on violent crimes. Far less people in jail, far lighter sentence for minor drugs and other crimes, far less children sentenced to jail, etc. j) Smaller communities. Less extremely large cities and therefore less gangs, drugs, etc. and communities more likely to turn in criminals.

K) Far more effective taxation systems. Canada Revenue Agency makes it extremely easy difficult to work illegally, SINs are verified before you first pay check, and few Canadians will hire people under-the-table. SINs are needed to open a bank account.

L) Verification of social systems -- i.e. Proof of citizenship is checked when applying for a driver's license, health insurance, etc. etc., etc., etc. To assume that individual US police officers have any control over these is silly.

Trick Question. Canadian cops are American cops. Same as |Mexican, Nicaraguan and Honduran Cops.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
