Why are religious people so pushy when it comes to people who aren't religious?

Well sure, and they did put a scare on you and me and everybody else to help keep us in line. I have the same problem as you, as in that I am at odds with the Dogmatists, who think everything has to make sense through their own limited rituals and prejudices. Anybody that says, "My way is the only way." is going to rouse my suspicions immediately, just for its intolerance, without micro combing through the entire rationale of the creed in question.

I believe there is more unknown than known, and the goal of any seeker is to winnow, determine and proclaim the truth, as he or she discovers it. God is loving but he (or she or it or THEY) is also jealous and vengeful. Read the 10 Commandments and reference Babel, Sodom & Gomorrah etc. You do what is right by YOUR lights and try to walk in the White as much as possible.

You do the best you can for as long as you can till you can't do it any more, and you hope it is enough. My faith, little as it is, has shown me visions of the infinite and the finite within, but not everyone has a personal totem that gives assurances of kindness, understanding and mercy. It is love, and that is all you need to know and the highest thing you can ever serve.

So never stop seeking the truth, and may your life be full of love, laughter and music.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
