Why are the stereotypes for gay men so different from those of lesbians?

I think you are right, we have come a long way in the world, and stereotype people less and less. Unfortunately, as far as gays or lesbians we seem to be a bit behind. The day will come when everyone is treated and thought of equally.

I may just not be around to see it.

The stereotypes of men in general and women in general follow the same pattern. In those cases the stereotypes are based upon attitudes which derive from basic biology, with women wanting a stable family to raise kids and men wanting as many partners as practical. It is not unreasonable that gays and lesbians would show the same tendencies, leading to the stereotypes you mention.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
