Why are there no tea party activists in the democratic party?

Most of the rest of the world see them, if they're even aware they exist, like they see anything else that happens in the US ,the way their corporate and or government media wants them to be seen. That's certainly the case in Belgium. The view point you represent is of a Stalinist, not sure how that fits in anywhere.

Most tea party activists are not racists, right wing fringe elements or dangerous extremists that often organize or try to monopolize these events, most are hard working Americans with sincere grievances and justified anger.

The success of these and similar events is the failure of the American left to represent and organize these folks, to stand for anything but blind loyalty to the democratic party, the other party of big business. The growth of extreme right-wing elements is a real danger. But contrary to the claims of the Nation and the left-liberal milieu, the risk does not emerge from some mass base for fascistic politics in America. It comes primarily from the continued subordination of the working class to the Democratic Party, and by that means, to the ruling elite.

This blocks the development of a progressive alternative and provides the Republican right with opportunities to make gains by demagogically exploiting the political impasse. Instead of simply ridiculing tea party protesters and stereotyping any participant as the most funny and kooky specimen Maddow , Stewart or olberman present liberals would do better to try to understand where these people are coming from and ashamed they fail to represent them.

Well, first of all, it's INTERESTING that the Morning Star has a RED star next to the banner. Secondly, I only had to read the first line of the third paragraph of the report to know that it's totally and completely male boving dung and full of false facts and information. If this is what you call news, you're in deep deep trouble.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
