Why are volcanos important in regulating the temperature of the earth? Will we see an increase in global temperature?

They aren't very important today. Perhaps many years ago they were. If it weren't for the sun, the earth would be gradually cooling forever or for as long as it existed (it may someday be blown up to make room for a hyperspace bypass) until it froze (actually it would go to absolute zero).

This would happen if our sun suddenly burned out. Actually, our sun will eventually go red giant and vaporize every molecule of earth so there will be no ball to freeze (let's see what "going green" will do for us then). Fact is, unless we find an easy way to travel around the universe, we are all going to become toast eventually.

Even if we do travel around the universe eventually all stars will burn out. I can see it now, all of us huddling around the last star for warmth. By the way, no one knows how to easily travel around the universe and there are no practical ways to do on the horizon.

Sorry scifi fans.

Not "important"--"instrumental. " Volcanoes are an instrument of warming, especially when they cough out chlorine gases, CO gases, CO2 gases, sulphur, or whatever else traps heat or blocks sunlight. But hey, no worry about being cold!

We've a clutch of volcanoes rarin' to go FOOM! Any time now.

Volcano put out most of the co2. Man made c02 volumes are a speck. Co2 does not move around so area can experience high concentration of c02 like LA. GoldenLion 3 days ago .

Geologists say that the Earth's molten core is left over from the Earth's creation over 4 billion years ago! That's the standard answer. All these meteors striking the earth heated things up and the molten core is left over from all these collisions.

There's also the heat generated from the decay of radioactive minerals that adds something like 20% to the heat. But recently, a few scientists have suggested that maybe the molten core continues to be heated by torsion field physics where the Earth moving through space generates heat by a kind of gravitational friction. Now keep in mind that a lot of Russian scientists believe in torsion field physics, but in the West, most people believing in this theory are regarded as kooks.

But I think there may be something to it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
