Why did early Hollywood stars change their names for the marquee?

Studios wanted their names changed and simply assigned them new names-the stars didn't have much choice in what new names they got in the beginning. The names chosen fit the studio bosses' ideas of what names fit that person. In some cases, the original names would have been fine (eg.

Norma Jean instead of Marilyn) but no way would Marion be a good name for a cowboy or Archie Leach for a sex symbol.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
