Yes we are, but any smart Aussie knows that before setting out on a round Australia trip,he puts in place measures to cover any eventuality,such as a satellite phone,plenty of water(for outback places) and keeping in touch with someone just to let them know what area you are in,(preferably police or family.).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
