Why did the democrat party defend slavery and create Jim Crow Laws?

What utter obfuscating tripe . This asker is what the Bard referred to when he wrote : "Like a tale told by an idiot,full of sound and fury signifying nothing " This garbage shows up periodically and must be outed for the garbage it is . After the Civil War ,all the Southern racist conservatives bolted the Republican Party to protest Lincoln .

In a two party system these racist conservatives had no place to go but to the Democratic Party and for the next 80 years or so (Until the passage of the Civil Rights Act) the liberal/progressive Democratic Party was polluted by these Racist Southern conservatives who became known the Dixiecrats . These racist conservative animals ran as Democrats in all elections both at the Federal and Local levels . As a result,these southern racist conservative "Democrats" did in fact continue slavery unofficially with Jim Crow laws they passed where they and the equally racist other conservatives in the South just continued raping,torturing ,lynching and killing Blacks at will .

There was nothing unfortunately that the Democratic party could do to rid itself of these vile racist Southern conservatives . In the civil rights era pf the 1950s an early 1960s, these horrid Southern racist conservatives fought like heck against the Civil Right and everything it represented ..Luckily Johnson was able to muster enough votes to get the Civil Rights Act enacted and once it was these stinking racist Southern conservative Southerners immediately left the Democratic Party and returned to the home of all racists conservatives ,the Republican Party . This asker preys upon the ignorance of all this to slander liberals/progressive by thia filth that they owe blacks an apology .

In fact Blacks know who liberals and true Democrats are and this pathetics attempt to drive a wedge is typical of racist conservatives . BTW, It is instructive to know that it was the equally vile conswervative Southern Baptist Union who in 1995 issued an official apology to Blacks for having started the Civil War and for the crimes against humanity they perpetrated against the Blacks . EDIT Everything I wrore here is evidenced and verifiable by the URLs I posted but even still ,these idiots give thumbs down .

WHY . I do not particularily care BUT for a person to thumbs down facts/truths reminds me of all those good Catholics who thumbs down all those claims about pedophile priests . Reality deniers .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
