You NEED to talk to your or his supervisor. Making it possible for employees to do their jobs, in a safe environment. You might consider discussing this with the organization that placed you.
You should never deal with problems with co-workers directly. That should always be done by supervisors. Except for, in the moment, saying something that draws his attention to the fact that he's about to run into you.
